It's Monday and some people decided to take off sick today so we are short staff and this guy here at work has done nothing all morning long, i really want to rat him out to my boss.

What do you think.

Edit: I think all he has been doing all morning and looking for jobs online.

if his laziness doesn't affect your productivity, then forget him.

I did that once... our team was pushing for a deadline, this guy wasn't doing anything the whole week... deadline I asked him to meet wasn't met, and I ended up doing some of his work... so I got pissed and told my manager, let him deal with it...

Yes i was taking a short break and now i'm on lunch. I taken like 15 phones calls this morning and he has taken none. He is also a newbie not even three months with the company and i can tell he is already looking for a way out. the past two mondays he called in sick when he was actually on job interviews.

Unless it's a really serious problem (IE scamming money from the register, fraud, etc), MYOFB.

Dude.

He's obviously looking for another job. Seriously - just never mind his lazy ass. All you can do is keep your head down and worry about your own work habits. Everyone else has a way of seeing themselves out the door within time.
