I wish. Growing up in the 60s and 70s I have seen and been a part of getting a smack from neighbors if I or any of my friends were disrespectful or assholes. And our parents for the most part agreed with us getting whalloped by strangers. Adults were always in the right back then. Todays kids are just spoiled little shitbags. Time-out generation and look at them now. Stupid for the most part and spoiled little bitches. If I can get away with bashing an emo douchebag kid I do it.

Self defense is just that. You're scenario is not equivalent to "punching a child."

And if you think to use this as any "evidence" to a counter-argument, it is not. I firmly believe in physical punishment. I do believe there is limits though, like I wont just sucker punch a 12 year old for back-talking. And actual "punch" I would probably never do, but belt to the leggs or ass? Most likely.
