Imagine if google wasnt free off the internet and you knew everything you know about it now.....would you pay for it?

Edit: Also in this imaginary world there are no other search engines such as yahoo or MSN, just Google

No. Google's search engine, while good, is not unique. At least at the moment there are a dozen other options that are just as good (or near to it).

But, if it was the only search engine available, I would consider paying at the most say $5-10/mo

If there is a demand, a product will arise.

Google is good, but I'm cheap. I wouldn't pay for it even if it was only $5.
