unlimited movie streaming? But every movie every made would be available. Not just a select amount?

If not, what price would you pay?

Ain't going to happen. That's a pipe dream.

Too many greedy content providers with control issues.

If I watched a lot of movies, that would be a reasonable price.
Movie studios need to get together and come up with something similar to Spotify. I've never even bothered with downloading music since getting that, it's just not worth the hassle. More convenient to just pay $9.99 a month and not have to search for download locations etc. I can even automatically sync to my phone over WiFi or 3G, no need to plug it in and transfer MP3 files any more.

Maybe, if that also includes a stream of any episode of any show... including episodes that just aired last week.

Nope. I don't watch much video. I'd pay $2 per hour for DRM free video of any kind though. Movies, TV, whatever a la carte.

That all depends. Does it work like NetFlix, where I can use it on my tablet/phone (WiFi and 3G/4G), or at home on my PS3/Boxee Box if I want to?

The answer is maybe, but probably not. I don't watch enough movies to justify the cost. I pay $8 a month for NetFlix, and right around there is the sweet spot for me. With access to the correct torrent sites, downloading movies and entire seasons of TV shows is no hassle at all, and fast as hell. But I can part with $8 a month for the on-the-go convenience, and "browse around for something to watch" experience NetFlix provides. Give me access to all movies, and TV shows that aired up to one or two weeks ago, and I'd think about it.

that's already available for 90% of TV shows. I just watched every episode of Dexter and Shameless on VOD. HBO has every episode of every series on HBO GO.

Movies are the bitch.

Right now I have both Amazon.com Prime streaming + Netflix streaming. I think I'm pretty much set.

I have ~25mbps downstream internet. My entertainment cost comes out to $38/month. It's not bad.

No. The answer to your second question is $0. I am definitely NOT the demographic that Hollywood is targeting as a "customer".

If it included new releases, like theater releases then yes, otherwise no.

If it included every TV show (HBO/STARS/CINEMAX/SHOW/NBC/ABC/ETC) I would add another $30 a month, maybe more.

I was thinking DVD releases. The studios make way too much money off theater releases. Don't they get something like 85% of opening month revenues?

Then NVM :(...$30 is a bit much imo.

I would pay $20-$30 a MOVIE if they would let me stream new/theater releases to my house.

I'd pay $50 per month if it included all television shows, past and present, as well.

Yep. Same here. If I got next day access to recent shows on any major network including premium stations.

No. I simply don't have time to watch movies. I'm lucky to watch 30-45 minutes of TV a day.

I probably wouldn't pay $10 for unlimited movies. I'd pay $30 for unlimited TV though. Like if I could get any old/new episodes of current shows to stream to my HDTV in a simple easy manner.

If it were streaming for tv shows 1 week after release, and Movies on the day they are available for DVD, then yeah 30, hell I would step up and say I would pay 50 bucks. But it would need to be EVERY content provider. Can't just hav ABC, not NBC, and FOX. Or something screwy like that.

If not 85%, it's more. Theaters have to pay good money for new releases, and even then, they barely make anything off ticket sales. That's why a popcorn and a soda costs you $12. Buddy of mine used to be a manager at a movie theater, and he told me all about how it works once. The markup on popcorn and soda is absurd. You're paying $12 for what probably costs them less than 30 cents.

It depends, if it included it's own connection, and all the content was 1080p, I'd pay $150ish per month for it.

If it was good quality, but I had to use my internet connection to stream it, then I don't think $100 per month would be unreasonable for me ...
