Completely redesigned for 2003, the Tiburon has progressed from a sporty economy hatchback to a legitimate sport coupe. And it's the sleekest Hyundai we've ever laid eyes on -- more than a few journalists have compared it to the Ferrari 456GT.

Please....... Hyundai, no matter WHAT they think, or how much they pay sh1tty journalists, is NOT Ferrari.
I'm not in anyway comparing its performance and sound to a Ferrari 456GT. Nor would I ever confused a Tiberon with a Ferrari, but you can easily see the styling similiarites between the two cars.
As much as I see similarities between...Say... A Mustang Cobra and a Camaro SS... They both have 4 wheels......
To me, the Pininfarina styling shines through on the Tiburon, if you can't see it, especially in the headlights, then you need to get your eyes checked. Pininfarina DID design the Tiburon's exterior, and they also design a majority of Ferraris last time I checked.
Pininfarina did NOT design the Tiburon, that's an urban myth.

From CanadianDriver.com:Although there is nothing exceptionally different looking about the new Tiburon, Hyundai's own in-house designers have managed to put together a derivative style that looks good from every angle.
Designed in Korea, rather than California like the previous Tiburon, the new car has upswept lines, sharp creases and a less curvaceous profile. Hyundai calls this "ascending edge styling."

You're right - I can't find any definitive evidence that they had anything to do with the Tibby - that's news to me! In that case, it's more of a ripoff than anything else, it looks like someone withing Hyundai likes 456's and MaranellosThanks for the correction!

I haven't seen too many Ferraris in person, so I'm surprised to learn that they sound like 2-cycle weed whackers.
