That thing sounds like a Ferrari in the same manner that a chihuahua with a bad attitude sounds like a hungry lion. The only way a Hyundai could be confused for a Ferrari is if the Ferrari had 6 cracked pistons and a couple of missing spark plugs.

Please....... Hyundai, no matter WHAT they think, or how much they pay sh1tty journalists, is NOT Ferrari.

I'm not in anyway comparing its performance and sound to a Ferrari 456GT. Nor would I ever confused a Tiberon with a Ferrari, but you can easily see the styling similiarites between the two cars.

As much as I see similarities between...Say... A Mustang Cobra and a Camaro SS... They both have 4 wheels......

To me, the Pininfarina styling shines through on the Tiburon, if you can't see it, especially in the headlights, then you need to get your eyes checked. Pininfarina DID design the Tiburon's exterior, and they also design a majority of Ferraris last time I checked.

Your insane. Eyes checked? Ok, so the intake around the doors. Otherwise, it looks a helluva lot more like a GM product then a Ferrari.
People who see Ferrari are just wishful thinkers. Like i said... Mustang and Camaro. They both have rear wings and 4 tires.

Ferrari lights
Tiburon lights

Yeah, i see the similarities.......

There is a definite resemblance.

I thought the same thing when I first saw pictures of it (Thread titled "Who do you think makes this?" or something like that).

It's obviously inspired by the 456, but they look nothing alike in person. The Hyundai has some Mustang-esque styling details thrown in and the proportions aren't as good; it looks a little disjointed and nowhere near as sleek as the Ferrari. Also, the cars are different sizes and you cannot mistake the Ferrari's exhaust note.

The Tiburon isn't a bad-looking car, but there is no way I would have ever mistaken it for a Ferrari.

Pininfarina did NOT design the Tiburon, that's an urban myth.

I agree with Viper, It looks like a Ferrari, if may not sound like one.

I don't bash the new Tiburons, the old ones however...

I like the new ones, I'd still never buy one (better options at the price), but they're nice looking, decent performing, and by all accounts I've heard pretty decent cars overall.

Unless it's a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda it gets bashed on these forums. I don't find anything about these three car makers that is any more interesting than any other car maker.

People usually use Kia when they want to mention a bad car. But I also like the new 03 Tiburon, due to their low resale value, I can get one for 15k loaded.

Blasphemy! (sp?)

Yes, I would confuse them after something like this happened to both ... lol

But it would be a pitty!

Both are great-looking cars, but Ferrari has THAT special place in my heart! Nothing comes close!

Well, Porsche 911 GT2 is also a great machine ... but very different from Ferrari looks :D

Is it possible to remove that "H" on the back of the Tiburon and replace it with a horse like ornament?
