I know what you mean, I spent half my life living on 24 acres, it's nice not having neighbors right next to you. But that's in a nice wooded area with privacy and seclusion. I would rather live in a crowded neighborhood than the house in OP.

After living in Orange County, CA my whole life, I'd take all the isolation I could get. I say buy a cabin in the middle of the forest if you can. Go full beard with this shit.

My idea of no neighbors is a beach house. I love the ocean. I'm tired of the plains and mountains.

LMAO! op thinks that is a house with no neighbors? You have a fucking apartment complex like 50 feet away and there's houses all behind you. i bet there's house in front as well. funny how city and country people think differently.

This is my idea of no neighbors: http://www.panoramio.com/photo_expl...hoto_id=77863529&order=date_desc&user=7129705

would love to have no neighbors for miles around, although my neighbors have helped me a good bit, so its nice to have them.

Ditto, CA native living in CO.. winters suck.

I thought this pic was relevant:

And that is amazing. Also the most terrifying house on earth if you have young kids. Jesus.

Actually, (I don't like that house)

(Edited to remove harshness)

yeah, that is no neighbors, lol. Damn, how do they get in and out, helicopter? Wonder whats off to the right there, maybe a dock or something? Doesn't even look like theres any roads or driveway, so maybe it is all by helo.

must have cost a fortune just to get all the materials and workers to the site.

i've lived in a dozen places and only 2 of them have had good neighbors, got so tired of it I gutted and fixed a house to sell while my wife and I saved for 11 years and finally bought a house in a really nice neighborhood. It has made all the difference.

No neighbors is great but that house location looks terrible/awkward. Would not want to be next to a school either.

Ideally, I'd find a house with a big enough yard/enough trees/fence to provide privacy. My parent's house is on the corner of a block surrounded by overgrown bushes and trees. No problems with privacy there!

Those neighborhoods where all the houses are lined up 10 feet apart with 20 feed of yard in front and behind... screw that. Just buy a condo at that point.

It is one thing to have no neighbors because you are in the country. But in this pic i think about the thugs that might start hanging out in the open parking lot.

Personally i need neighbors. We moved into a new neighborhood with lots of kids so our girls have lots of friends to play with now. I would be bored living by my work which is a commercial area due to lots of business and it has one high priced condo building in the middle. I would hate how empty it is on weekends.

I'd be worried of some eminent domain shit pulled by the city when a developer with enough money comes around and wants to buy up all that empty space around it and they give you a lowball offer to GTFO or lose it.
