Would you move into an Arcology?

Ever play SimCity 2000? Remember those Arcos?

Its an isolated structure with a completely self-sustaining infrastructure. All the housing, employment, manufacturing, politics, entertainment, etc. is contained in this structure. It even handles it own power production and waste recycling.

The point of an arcology is to build up a society that has little impact on anything outside its structure, i.e. independent of the environment and anything else going on in the world.

So if we successfully built one of these on Earth, would you consider moving in?

Camping?

4-Wheeling?

Possible to leave to travel to other locations for a vacation or something?

If not, then fuck no I wouldn't live in one.

Visit other arcologies, perhaps. Or once you leave, you have to be completely self-sufficient?

I'd bet the Launch Arcologies would be full of homeowners associations and shit and be too damn boring. Ill go with the darko.

The political structure depends on the arco's constitution I suppose. If I design my own arco, my government would be Polity based.
