would you mind dating someone who is less intelligent than you?

If they were significantly below my intelligence level, then I would presume the spectrum of conversation we'd be able to partake in would be pretty narrow, so that would suck. So yes, if they were a LOT less brainy than I, then I would probably lose interest fairly early on.

But seriously, I find airheadedness a major turnoff. I've never really met a woman obviously much smarter than me. I guess I'd need someone of comparable intelligence.

 
Bah! Does it really matter if you're smarter or dumber than *insert crush/love/mistress here*. If you truly love him/her, you'll love them no matter what. 🙂

The things that make people feel intelligent, or otherwise make wannabe intellect feel intelligent, crack me up. You think she's an airhead for that comment? Do you even know the real answer? Probably not.

 
most women don't find my refined humor, amusing. but i wouldn't mind someone less intelligent, makes for interesting conversations.

also concur that intelligence is a turn on
 
She would have to be at least close to as smart or smarter than me.
But I think I would take a small IQ hit, if her EQ and social skills were above average.

Looks aren't too important, but I have to be attracted to them.
 
Probably not, I'm smart enough to know that no matter how hot the girl is; I would eventually get turned off by the lack of grey matter (that means intelligence you sickos 😉 ) in her head.

haha, my mom tells me to marry a stupid girl so I can boss her around. I told her that I would not because I don;t want to have idiot children.

The funny part is that my mom is stupid, but she thinks that she is smart. She takes after her mother. Her dad is smart though, as were my dad's parents.
 
Chances are good it would get old. If you want someone that is good looking even if they are dumb then be ready to do a lot of work. Basically if you want something done right you better plan on doing it yourself. My wife does a hell of a bunch a work as a stay at home mom. If she was bumb my life would suck major!

Everyone has to fall somewhere. I wouldn't care as long as the intellectual distance either up or down isn't too far.

depends on how attractive they are 🙂 .. thats shallow but its hard to gauge something like intelligence. If they are dumb enough for you to NOTICE how much less intelligent they are... then you probably have a problem.
 
Smarts and intelligence are two different animals. No I wouldn't date a duh , but less intelligent to a point would be OK.
RANT.... BTW , there is no s on the end of anyway!!!!!!!! Sorry,but that is a pet peeve , especially coming from some of the self professed geniuses who have used it on this forum ... End RANT!
 
If you're asking if I'd date someone that's an absolute idiot, the answer is no. But if the person wasn't as intelligent as me but had a great personality, I'll be all for that. But someone near my intelligence, is certainly doable. Heck I wouldn't have a problem dating someone smarter than me.
