I have had "trophy girlfriends" before, and ended up hating myself for dating them. I need someone that actually has a brain.

If you can't connect on an intellectual/emotional level then it's just (delicious) eye candy.

Fortunately, my wife is the ULTIMATE trophy wife.
She is Beautiful beyond words. Most men see her and want her.
And She is very intelligent, (she is no JS).. And she has a nice body to match.
 
Of course, most people want a gf who's pretty, smart, and emotionally supportive (that's not the same was being smart, as some of you are confusing).

For me, I realize it's the third that's most important. I want a best friend, someone who'll be happy for me when something good happens or hear me whine when things are sucking bad, and someone who understands me. Being smart is a plus, but as long as she's not stupid, I'd be ok. As for looks, looks will fade over time even if she's the hottest thing you've ever seen; and even if she ages very well, the same lust won't be there anyway after 3 years. I'd prefer a decent looking and an average intelligent girl who's there for me all the time versus a girl who excels in one of the other two but is a crappy companion.

The above is only for a long-term relationship or wife; whereas now I'm just looking to date around, give me a hot girl any time. 🙂
