I've been told I missed my natural calling of "Comedian." I don't necessarily agree.

Though I'm quite animated in real life, I have to be "on a roll" I.E. pissed off about something, before my ranting and raving turns comedic.

In short...maybe I'd be a good actor. Maybe not. I'd love the money, though!

no.

I'm a pretty funny person irl, but I don't have the personality for stand-up. I hate being the center of attention... I'd love to write jokes and one-liners for a sitcom, though :)

I thought I would be bad, really really bad. But i had to do some acting in front of a couple classes for semester projects (~25 minutes each)... they turned out really, really well and I got compliments from a number of people in the class and teachers.

That wasn't a movie. That was "People's Exhibit 'A'". :D

People tell me all the time i should be an actor, its weird because if im not drunk (witch isnt too offten) i pretty much keep to myself. I work at a bar and I get "you look like an actor" a lot. Not even a spefic actor just somebody that should be in movies.

Maybe in pron I could be a great actor, but not in real movies. I was in a play once playing a commander in the Gestapo... my best acting in that play was when I was put into a straight jacket and forced to chase someone around stage.

I like to think I'm okay. It can depend a lot on the director, DP, the script, other actors, and even the lighting. I definitely benefit from more prep time and feedback from a communicative director who has a clear idea what he wants.

I wouldn't say it's easy: there's a lot of pressure; on a non-SAG film, 10-hour+ shooting days and 6-day weeks are standard, and a lot of roles can be quite physically demanding. To get what you see on screen, you typically have to do the same sequence of actions over and over again, not necessarily in order, and what really happens may be a lot different from what it looks like after it's been edited. (e.g., in the movie world, you're having an angry confrontation...except that the rest of the people in the scene were filmed somewhere else a week before, or maybe they won't be filmed until next week.)
