The reason he was in Home Alone 2 was that he would demand to be in films that were shot on his properties. They didn’t want to include him.
Okay, either way, it continued to raise his profile, he wasn't some obscure business dude mostly known in NYC by the time the Apprentice came about.

Yes, we knew he was some rich business fuck-up, that's my point, he was pretty famous even before the Apprentice. He was famous enough to be a punch line.
Yeah well we're just going to have to agree by disagreeing. 🤣 My point is that without the TV show, DJT doesn't have the platform or the type of celebrity to launch a political career. Heck, many have argued that without Barack Obama roasting his ass at the correspondents dinner, he wouldn't have entered the political arena.

Until 2015, I didn't know he was an awful human being and pretty much every year since, he's gotten even worse. Like how the fuck is that even possible? I guess he isn't a cannibal like his idol Hannibal Lector, at least not that we know of.

But I agree with you, he was already semi- famous even in the 20th century.

I have to be honest.. lived in NYC my whole life and didn't know who he was till the Van Damme movie Double Impact came out and there's a quote in there.. about him..

"That's like asking someone in New York who Donald Trump is" or something like that.

Apparently he's in Home Alone 2 too but the only thing I remember from that movie is they're no longer the WET bandits, they're the STICKY bandits!

But The Apprentice and especially Omarosa being Omarosa raised his profile a shit ton!

Five Guys burger and a Whopper tastes better anyways!!

Maybe this was the reason to get America to say F McD's!
Five Guys is overrated and historically too expensive for what it is.
Burger King isn’t consistent enough location to location.
McDonald’s owns this niche.

No wonder I often shop at Subway!

I have used the McD's promo when they had $2 big macs or bogo.. but they haven't had those in almost 8-10 months!

Oh what's wrong with Wendys?

Wendys is a lot like Arbys-the correct way to phrase your inquiry is "What is right with Wendys?"

While I don’t eat a ton of fast food, there are three Wednesdays a month where I sort of have to. Wendy’s isn’t convenient for me but it definitely is a different place than when Dave ran it. My wife and I did have a wonderful experience getting Krabby Patties at my local Wendy’s. Decent burger and a great experience.

Nah, Five Guys may be expensive, but it's not over-rated. The only nation-wide available burger that competes is Shake Shack.
Doesn't make sense to compare 5G with McD's though, since the burger is nearly twice as expensive at 5G.
Wendy's is better than McD's though.

Trump was a B or C list celebrity by the end of the 80’s. I was in middle school when “The Art of the Deal” came out and I still remember you couldn’t go into a book store without seeing his face on that book.

Couple that with bit parts in semi-popular movies and somewhat regularly ending up on the news for his shitty business dealings and bankruptcies, he stayed in the public zeitgeist through out the late 80’s and 90’s

As for fast food burgers
  • Five Guys is great but it’s too expensive now. I’ll actively go elsewhere now because $20 is to expensive for a burger fries and a coke
  • Wendy’s has been popular with my family but a string of recent visits to at least 3 different surprisingly poorly maintained franchises have caused us to reduce visiting them

Last year, Burger King upgraded their #1 Combo burger-fries-and-coke. It was an "OK" burger. I make a pretty good burger, myself, but I've always been on a quest for a Great Burger. I found a place in Dallas on Lovers Lane near the freeway that served great burgers -- but that was 1975. My latest discovery is a place in Bishop, CA, on US 395 in the center of town, called "Whiskey Creek Restaurant and Saloon". They serve a BBQ Bacon-CheeseBurger that is matchless, and the fries that come with it are quite amazing. Usually people say that "fries are just fries". I'll have to wait until Thanksgiving week or soon thereafter to visit that restaurant again. they also offer an Amber Ale made by Mammoth Breweries -- which can also be accessed further up on US 395.

Back to Trump. Trump never had a real job. He never had to discipline himself to hold a job, report to work on time, be respectful to a supervisor, and get along to play well with the other children or employees. He worked for his father, exploiting Polish immigrants who neither had nor got any health insurance if they were injured on those construction jobs. Working for your father in Trump's case is not a "real job". He was only 24 when his father's "empire" was dumped in his lap. But as President, America's Executive Branch was running on auto-pilot. He spent most of his time watching TEE-VEE; he didn't read his daily or weekly security briefings from CIA. All he did was to make stuff up -- like his dog-and-pony show using a palette of blank copy paper to announce getting rid of EPA regulations. EPA regulations wouldn't fill a palette like that copy paper did.

Honestly the best burger I've ever had was in Japan.. it had a soft poached egg and some teriyaki sauce added to what was otherwise similar to a quarter pounder but no onions, no lettuce, no tomato. But holy shit that was a fucking amazing burger!

Seems to me... who gives a fuck? What fucking bearing does it have on anything to do with her potential presidency? If the issue is "well maybe she lied about it", uh... you know, there's a veritable MOUNTAIN of lies from Trump from the past decade alone.
It doesnt. It’s the ongoing racist campaign forcing people of color to prove their legitimacy.

Not too sure hairnets would have prevented the e.coli meat contamination…hand washing might make a difference in the local joints, but wide spread contamination like this…”shitty” beef.
I don't want to think about what could be found in an analysis of diaper don's hair.

I grew up in a town where they were the only burger option. I did not eat burgers other than when we went to a completely different town/city and had an option other than McDonalds. A few years back I got a Big Mac and I don't see eating one again like ever. McDonalds is the burger equivalent of Oreos or Twinkies, where I go "hmm, it must be popular for a reason right?" and then I try one every like 5-10 years and then regret it.

Wendys is a lot like Arbys-the correct way to phrase your inquiry is "What is right with Wendys?"

Its still orders of magnitude batter than McDonalds. Carl Jrs, which is way shittier here is better even. If for some reason you are ok with McD's beef flavor, you'd either have to be out of your mind or sadly stuck somewhere that In 'n Out isn't available to not go with In 'n Out.

Arby's has burgers now and I'd damn sure take theirs over McDonalds.

Shake Shack or Steak 'n Shake? Cause the former isn't anything special (imo) but I've heard the latter is good (but also expensive). But there's Culver's here and it satisfies my burger cravings as much as Five Guys did and I can get 2 burgers for the price of one at Five Guys.

Shake Shack is excellent. Steak'n'Shake is decent. Culver's is also very good, but not nation-wide. Their fries have been cooked to perfection just about every time I've been there, too.

Just bogo'd 2 Bacon McDoubles the other day. I was busy. I have done this a couple times in the last year. I have no idea why. They just suck. There specials are made at least an hour before, then get bumped in a microwave before you get them. The bun is the give away. No more!

I hope McDonald’s sends a cease and desists order for this
Grifter's gonna grift. It's amazing how much trump merch there is, and comparatively how little Harris-Walz stuff there is (also note how it's just trump, and not trump-vance)
