Tempting though it may be to do so, I would have to go with no. I would not 'get away with it' in this life or the next because I would still know that I did it. It would be a stain upon my soul that would eat away at me until I couldn't take it anymore.

On behalf of the United States Government, those of you who do not suffer from any morality issues in regards to extinguishing another persons life will be issued an interview for a job offer via private message.

As a soldier I would have absolutely no problems blowing some Taliban`s head.

As a civilian, I would defend myself and others in mortal danger.

There are plenty of people at work who I'd love to ice. Customers and fellow employees included. Of course I'd never hurt a fly, so my murderous rampage will forever stay confined to video games and my imagination. :p

Getting away with it doesn't weigh into a decision to kill, for me. I wouldn't kill for pleasure but I most certainly would kill out of necessity if other life were on the line -mainly, mine! In that situation, I don't care whether I get caught or not or where I spend the next 20 years. I'd rather spend a long life with the weight of my actions on my shoulders than not act and die or have to live a long life knowing I could have done something to prevent the wrong person from dying.

There are already lots of distinguished people...or did you mean extinguish?"

BTW, I did the job 40 years ago...I don't think Uncle will want me back nowadays...

Nope, no desire to kill anyone. There are very few people I would even want to punch in the face without repercussions.

I'm not really a hateful, violent guy.

Nope.
If I wanted someone dead I would make it happen regardless of whether I could get away with it.

Sure...if the price was right, or the justification strong enough.

I'm not admitting to anything...but...just maybe, perhaps...in another life...long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away...I may have possibly done something similar...or known someone who did something similar...or maybe even saw a movie about someone who did something similar...but I'm not admitting to anything...

Umm you fought in NAM right? So that that's not much of an admission now is it? :p

To answer the OP no way in hell. Even if the person deserved it, an evil person say, I couldn't live with the emotional consequences of that. I would very likely have some type of serious emotional breakdown as a result.

Edit: The above excludes in self defence or in defence of family and loved ones. In that case yeah I probably would.

Only time this would every apply to me is when they are threatening the lives of me, my children, my wife or my family. For the hell of it? No, only on defense of those who i love and care for.
