I am a girl.
I smoke.
Had a few boyfriends that did not smoke, and they did not seem to mind that I do.
My b/f of five years smokes, too.

Been smoking for almost 30yrs. And for the first time, I am slightly considering quitting. Just considering it, mind.

Bullsh!t.

I've known plenty of girls who will only smoke at parties or at a club. Its an association thing. They associated drinking / partying with smoking, so they felt the urge to light up only at those times. Any other time, it just wasn't a big deal.
 
hot girls can get out of traffic tickets, can get added to a class i was just told was full, can get free drinks (from terds like me that are buying), so i'm pretty certain that they can get away with the smoking bit.

edit: to answer the question, yes. been there, dont that. my X smoked a lot, also her fair share of the reefer, and drank lots of merlot. she was the horniest little thing, but i sure as hell wasn't complaining 🙂
 
If she swears she will never ever stop, then never ever. If she was hot and smoked but I thought I could change her ways... then yes I'd get involved. It's likely I would not have known she smoked until later because I wouldn't approach girls who smoke in the first place.
 
Of course. My relationship would be with the woman, not the cigarette. And smoking is something that I can easily deal with to be with that woman, if that woman were the one I wanted to be with.

riiiiight. im sure 99.9% of you wouldnt give a sh!t if a chick had a hairy back, much less smoked, if you had a chance of losing that virginity.


unless they are rude with it, why do you care? its thier body, thier choice. much like abortion, right? judging someone on a habit is shallow and immature. i guess all those that wouldnt date smokers would also kick drinkers to the curb? what about skydivers? race car driver? those are all dangerous to your health things to do. would turn your nose up to them also?
 
Naw, I've hooked up with girls (prior to being married of course) that smoke and well... they taste like ashtrays.
 
If by relationship you mean casual sex then yes, I would have a "relationship" with a woman who smokes. If you mean would I get into a long term commitment with a girl who smokes...probably not.

The problem is that by smoking she is inhaling the smell and the taste, it is one of the very few things i can't deal with.

Besides, a woman who has been smoking for a long time looks a lot worse than a woman the same age that haven't been smoking. It isn't surprising that poisoning yourself constantly with one of the worst poisons known to man makes your cells age faster.

I have seen 35 year old smokers who look like they are over 55, it's easy to spot a smoker, not just by the smell, but by her looks too, bad skin, looking a lot older than she is, bad hair and of course, last but not least, she smells, the worst are the ones who try to cover it up by adding a ton of perfume, just because they have destroyed their senses does not mean that others can't smell the horrid combination of cigarette smoke and lots of perfume.

She has a right to smoke as long as it is legal, i have a right to turn her down because of it.

I have been involved with an alcoholic, never again. The rest of your examples are just stupid.

Skydivers are constantly inhaling toxic fumes? how about race car drivers? I can understand those who want to skydive or race cars, those who smoke get no rush after they are stuck, it does nothing after a few months of smoking, unless you are trying to quit.

Nothing good comes from smoking, nothing at all, but just like all addicts, trying to find excuses for their habit is normal.

I really don't care wtf they do with themselves. I just choose to not date them and generally think them less intelligent. I would absolutely kick heavy drinkers to the curb. Your other comparisons are not valid, and are actually quite laughable.

point is people do things that are hazardous to thier health all the time. to deem someone less intelligent because of one thing they do is what is stupid. is it smart to smoke? no. does it make you less intelligent than a non smoker? no.

I just got out of a relationship with a girl who smoked, and I said that I would *never* date a smoker. It triggers my allergies something terrible, and it stinks, not to mention the health risks. That said, she didn't ever smoke when she was with me, and she didn't smell or taste like smoke either.

Do you need to eat? Do you need to inhale one of the most powerful toxins known to mankind?

Prepackaged food is convinient (sp?), smoking is just dumb.

I don't eat prepackaged food myself, but i would rather do that that to fill a need to eat than to inhale a couple of thousands of toxins just because of nothing.
