Would you get this M3?

for that price? no way.
It doesn't state the mileage either, unless that is what the 49M was.

my friend just got a 95 with 60K and a tear across the backseat for 5000$..
looks exactly the same

Then he got an EXCEPTIONAL deal, and it certainly isn't the norm.

Agreed - where do I get one like that?!

Probably meant Recaro. That ignorance alone would make me question who's selling the vehicle.

Yeah... sellers like that make me wonder if they really like their car... 😕 it looks so damn nice though.

You just gotto wait for it, he got a good deal because the car had be broken into, the system stolen, and the backseat ripped apart..(system was replaced by seller, backseat he just clothed over for now)

yeah it was a good deal, he got it because he had waited a long time for a good deal and constantly kept his eyes open.

Now might be a good time to remind people that the E36 M3 was voted "Best Handling Car in the World" during its time, above Ferraris and the like. I'd give my left nut if I found the right one for sale.

How about this one instead?

I was about to ask you for a BMW forum that has classifieds on it... hoping the owners there have a bit better knowledge of their cars. 😀

Better knowledge == more pride == an unwillingness to let it go cheaply 🙂 Find an ignoramus who assimilated an M3 from a relative or something and a good deal you might have! 🙂 I'm of the firm opinion that the only good deals to be had are from those who don't know what they have in the first place.

When I was into bimmers (still am a little) I followed the forums religiously, and it was always interesting to me to see E46ers sell in order to buy an E36 M3. I too would love to have an E36 M3 if it were in reasonable condition for a reasonable price. Unfortunately it seems that most people selling their E36 M3 realize what they have, so they're not willing to let it go cheaply. Gluttons... 🙂

Muwahaha! I'm always on the lookout for a 70-year-old grandma who inherited a 1995-1997 low-milage, always-garaged E36 M3 and is asking ~$10K for it!
