Yes I dropped T-Mobile & AT&T because I hate their fucking networks, if/when Verizon get's the iPhone I'll be one of the first in line to get one. I already miss the shit out of mine and I just sold it Monday.

TBH, I have an iPhone. Would I buy it again if I had known what I know now? Absolutely not.

I've owned every version of the iPhone and I'm pretty certain I'm done with it. I have an iPod touch (jailbroken of course) to remind me why I prefer Android phones more overall.

Well, I'm on Sprint so would normally say yes... but then the EVO was announced so I voted 'I don't know'. The cost of ownership would have to stay in line with what I currently pay as well.

I'm perfectly happy with my iphone. Jailbroken I still hold it's probably the best thing out there (from what I've used). Non-jailbroken it's incredibly limited and not very 'smart' of a phone. I won't hesitate to upgrade my 3G when it bites the dust.

I have the 3G but will switch to Sprint in about a month when I pick up the vastly superior Evo. I loved the iPhone but never liked ATT so if networks were not an issue and the decision was based soley on the phone I'd ... still get the Evo.

I wanted one, but apple left a really bad taste in my mouth when they decided to start censoring apps for content reasons.

Not true Android is the ying to the yang. Apple has a ton of people who buy their products no matter what. But on the flip side they have haters who wouldn't buy an iPhone no matter what. My neighbor has an Android and claims he wouldn't use an iPhone if they PAID HIM every month. That kind of person wouldn't get one just because it was on Verizon. I do agree if they were on Verizon they'd still easily be #2 and maybe even overtake RIM in the US.

Look at the damage the iPhone can do in sales by just being on 1 carrier. Can you imagine the sales if it was released on Verizon? Or maybe even on all networks?

It would have a stranglehold on the smartphone market.

exactly right. if they were on verizon they would double iphone sales overnight and if they were on all four networks they would have 95% of the smartphone market

the serious haters youre referring to (who wouldnt buy iphone, even though it is the best smartphone, just because they hate apple) are like 1% of users. most people arent haters or phanbois, they will just get the best phone they can, which is iphone

oh so 54% of you wouldnt buy iphone if it was on your network?????? freakin liars with yur po-mans-iphone droids. i got news for you, where i live 90% of people already have iphone and thats literally the only reason they are on att.

when 4g arrives and people start expecting real internet there will be a shakeout of the semi-smartphones (bye blackberry and windows) and everyone will get iphone 4g pro with a physical keyboard

This post reads like it's trolling for responses. Please keep your posts specific to the topic with fewer discourteous comments about other handset OS's

Ok so good for where you live. So if someone says that they don't know anyone with an iPhone does that mean it sucks???

No one gives a shit about where you live. Many people are happy with their Android phone, there's no reason to switch from my Droid to an iPhone.

I think it would be interesting for Verizon/ATT/Sprint to poll their customers on issues like:
-Do you know what the difference between Android and Apple is?
-Do you know what OS your phone runs?
-Would you switch from your current OS to another if you lost all of your paid apps?
etc, etc

I wonder how many 'undecided' people there are in terms of prospective/current smartphone owners. Or even how many people even care...
