Would you ever sell a gift?

I was rummaging through some of my old belongings... An original gameboy with 17 games + accessories. I dunno if I should sell it. Most of the things included were given to me as a gift =*( Would you guys ever sell a gift no matter what it was? I don't think I'm going to sell it. Memories are priceless.

nope, unless i *really* needed the money.

or if it was from somebody i didn't know too well, like some cheap trinket from the neighbor.

obviously you didn't miss it when it was sitting in some box, so why would you miss it when someone else has it. Now if its something you uses or see often then its a keeper.

I sold a lacquered bull's organ cane that a friend gave me. It was just too creepy... 😛

If you no longer use it, sell it.
If it was a gift bought only a matter of weeks ago - I'd feel a bit guilty though.

If it's been years and years since the gift was received, I say why not? You probably won't miss it. Obviously I wouldn't make a point of telling any of the givers "Hey, I got $100 for all my old Game Boy crap!"

😀 That's just the kind of gift I could never give. What was this person thinking? Too funny!

I've sold off a lot of gifts. Most of the items were commodity items that didn't have a sentimental value. The biggest flak I received was selling a Steg the Stegosaurus Beanie Baby. Sure it may have been a gift from my grandmother, but if I can sell a $5 retail item for $325 (as I did on eBay), dammit I'm gonna do it.

<< Depends on the gift and the giver. >>

Yep, depends on who it's from and how unique the gift is. Does it have sentimental value?

A souvenior from travel from a good friend? No.

A cd I don't like from ____? Yes.

Was it the bulls balls or his jimmy? LOL - that is some funny shiite!
