Just for clarification (and I'm not sure this is even a misunderstanding but seems it might be). I mean date one girl ever... as in you go on your first EVER date with girl X date her for a while then get married, and NEVER go on so much as a date with another girl.

Too late. :)

What if... what if.

I can't answer that to be honest. :)

I would say yes to the original poll.

But, I am not one of those people who believe that there is someone out there for everyone. Even if it was true, given the divorse rate in the US, the 'system' would be all jacked up.

assuming things went well, yes i'd stay with her. but more than likely, 1st g/f will not be the only one.

But what about the feeling of not knowing if things could have been better with someone else?

There is always potential for that feeling no matter how many girls you have been with.

I'd also be interested to know the demographics of the people who answered, think that would be interesting. Although completely unnecessary... ah well.

What specific demographic information are you asking for?

Something tells me the most pertinent information would be:

Age
Location
Political views
Religion

my answer is yes, i'm 21 in cali, don't care about politics, and don't have a religion.

you know this how? you can't say most of them are now divorced when the divorce rate is 50%, its trying to use a general fact that a lot of marriages end in divorce and applying it to one case, when its a fact that applies to the general case (whether it be someone who has had only 1 partner or several before marriage)

While I have a lot of respect for you Ronstang, so far, I differ. I have only gone out with one girl and honestly, I am looking forward to a long, happy relationship. I don't think that what you say is universally true. :)
