I lived on the street for awhile, and resorted to said means few and far times between. I'd often find a stray pizza upside down on the sidewalk 'cause some drunk stumbling home would drop it. Always eat those. People would be shocked at what is in upscale grocers dumpsters certain days of the week.

At a movie theature around here they allow you one free refill on the large popcorn bucket. Well, my friend pulled an old bucket out the garbage (they're like $4.50 if u accually bought it) and refilled it.

Kinda funny, but I think i'd pay the extra $4.00 for a new bucket...

Have been there, albeit for a short time. Hunger is a powerful motivator, we do what we must in times of need.

i know someone who does this too. once he saved a bag and brought it back with him the next time he went to the movies.
