Keep in mind that through proper care you can avoid catching it. The risk is certainly higher than being around a non-infected person. Lets say that they are a relatively healthy person this bit aside.
If you are both educated on the subject, know what to avoid (open sores), double-wrap it and have some antiretroviral treatment at your disposal then you can interact without too much fear.
If the dangers were neutralized (as far as it could get--obviously not 100% but neither is arriving alive on your next commute) would you get with them?
