Date a gun owner? lol no. God no. Only thing worse is a gun owner who's fat, smokes, has liver spots, wears pink butt huggers that say juicy on the back, and likes to say "oh my god!" all the time.

My fiance would probably not be so efficient with making sandwiches if she found out I was dating somebody else.

Guns is only 1 out of 4 criteria. If she also like kids, cars, and video games (especially if she grew up on 16/32 bit RPGs) then hell yes.

Ya, why not. I mean at least this way you know if you piss her off to that point chances are you're just gonna get shot.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather take a bullet then have a chick pull a bobbitt on me.

A little FYI, a silencer is the same as a suppressor. There is no such thing as a Hollywood style silencer.
QFI

Next time you're in the sand, ask the armory for a H/K Mark 23 with the silencer. The sound of the action is amazing.

The less you know, the less you're responsible for.

Ah, well I'll just have to assume then. I'll take QFI to stand for "quoted for ignorance."

So let me tell you what the armory may ask you next when you ask for a "silencer." "Are you going to be shooting it wet or dry?" You'll probably sit there with a stupid look on your face because "silencers" make absolutely no noise like in the movies, and would have no idea what he's talking about.

The FACTS are, if you ask for an HK USP Tactical (think of it as an upgrade to the Mark 23), and ask for a silencer, they will hand you a supressor. And the best supressors on the market now are the Osprey and AAC Ti-Rant. Neither are completely silent. Dry or wet. You then need to use sub sonic rounds to make it even quieter. Again, there is no such thing as a movie style "silencer." They all make noise, but the supressor definitely quiets the shot down quite a bit. Normally around 122db for a 9mm (dry).

Now come back to me when you know WTF you're talking about. I'll let you assume what "WTF" stands for. It's a safe bet.

I eventually would like to own a gun to go shooting. The one time I did it I enjoyed it so I'd have no problem dating someone with one.

I'd tell her she should have picked a better pistol, but, sure. If you are going to use subsonic ammo, you better start with something bigger than a .380...

I don't see what the big deal is as long as she's not crazy and is a responsible adult.
