We're happy, and it'd be nice if more people were supportive rather than cynical... ah well, time will tell.
cyn·i·cal ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sn-kl)
adj.
Believing or showing the belief that people are motivated chiefly by base or selfish concerns; skeptical of the motives of others: a cynical dismissal of the politician's promise to reform the campaign finance system.
Selfishly or callously calculating: showed a cynical disregard for the safety of his troops in his efforts to advance his reputation.
Negative or pessimistic, as from world-weariness: a cynical view of the average voter's intelligence.
Expressing jaded or scornful skepticism or negativity: cynical laughter.
BUT more interestingly the root comes from the philosophy of the cynics which I think you'd actually agree with many aspects of.
The main principles of their Cynic philosophy (Cynicism) were:
Self-sufficiency (ataraxia)
Living by personal example
Exposing the falsehood of conventional thinking
Exposing vice and conceit
Living according to nature
Cycicism has a bad reputation, because it's misunderstood to be conceit, which the true philosophy endeavors to expose.
All the girls whom I've dated, who have shaved thier head, have done so primarily for spiritual or anti-establishmentary reasons. From your pictures I don't think it'd look good on you, but if you were my fiance I wouldn't care, neither should you, which is perhaps a reason you should do it. To learn not to care bout it.
