Would you commute to work if it took an hour each way?

Thinking about taking a job that would be approximately an hour drive each way. Would you take the job if the money is right?

Tri

Depends if I LIKED the job. Pay helps, but if I have to spend two hours each day thinking of how much I hate my job, then I wouldn't do it.

yes... I have either a 40+ minute drive or an hour and 10 minute drive every day. It sucks in the snow, but otherwise it isn't bad. I find driving to be relaxing when I'm not in a traffic jam.

well, I am doing it everyday and after that I go to my second job which is only five minutes from where I live. So yeah... I would do it.

I drive an hour to and from work already. Make sure you like what you are doing and that the pay is worth it.

Been there, done that. It sucks, and I'd never do it again, not for a job.

Is that the complete trip?

I almost do that every day, 30-40 minutes driving and 10 minutes walking. But since it isn't driving in traffic, 90% of the time, I don't mind.

My 22 mile commute was an hour and a half. I would not have wanted to live in skid row Los Angeles.

Friend of mine is an airline pilot out of NYC (EWR/LGA/JFK) and lives in South Jersey (Salem County). Thats over two hours each way.

i think one hour without traffic is worse than one hour with traffic, because that is just toooo far for me! even though you aren't stuck in traffic, just knowing that you have 40 miles to go. . . i guess its just me.
