For kicks and giggles? Uh Sure.

Here in MA, a name change petition costs $250-350, plus appearing before the court and justifying your name change (no ill intentions).

So you'd really have to be paid atleast a grand or so just to break even with the time spent. I'd say $10k for it to be worth it.
