32" with s-vid at that price is NICE. It would be good to have the component, but s-vid is honestly probably just as good in a normal tv. You'll want to see it though. Some of the lower-end large tvs are damn near spherical. The screen is so round you can barely use it.

As for the Sharp vs JVC discussion I have nothing to say. There are plenty of reviews that will tell you the differences for it.

As for the wholesaler, yes I would buy from them. If its the same product I want and I save 15%, why not? Its not like a wholesaler has some magic pixie dust that will make their products worse than retail stores.

Is this your first time posting here? Include exact model names for both TVs, complete with MSRP - otherwise, how the hell are we supposed to know if you're getting a good deal, of if the Sharp is just a piece of scrap metal? From the specs you posted though, i can tell the JVC is better - it has component.

You're doing this all wrong. You don't go to a store and choose between the items they have on the shelf. You go on the net, determine the brand and model that you wish to buy, and then visit the store that sells it. Not all electronics are made equal. All manufacturers are better at making device A, but worse at making at device B. Find out what manufacturers make the best TVs - make yourself a list of two or three. Each of these manufacturers will have a handful (or one) model that fits your needs perfectly - it will often perform better and cost less than other models by the same manufacturer, even newer ones. When you have a list of a dozen models that suit you, filter out those that suit you the least and you'll end up with a very small list of TVs that are exactly what you want. Then go to their respective manufacturers' websites and find out what stores sell their TVs in your area. Pick up the phone and call each of them, find out who has the TVs you want and for how much. Then wait until Boxing Day, walk in there and buy the TV you want. That's how you do it. To accomplish everything above, you will need 4 links:

1 - AVSForum
2 - ConsumerReview
3 - Epinions
4 - Google

I think what Skroob is trying to say is that if the Glass is more like a giant bubble that gives off more glare than bald guys head, then its crap.

Returns at Sam's are an absolute dream compared to Best Buy. No stool samples required or anything. Another nice thing about Sam's will be that you can get THEIR version of the extended warranty plan that Best Buy offers for a TINY fraction of the price Best Buy would charge. I got a DVD player at Sam's awhile back and for a 3-year protection plan it was some ridiculously low amount like $4. Ordinarily I don't go into those protection plans, but for that cheap why not? I was at Sam's today and think I saw that exact Sharp TV. It actually looked to have a decent picture for the price. The thing I liked most about it though was that it had a small footprint. So many 32" TVs seem to have ultra bulky speakers on the side making them hard to fit them into some entertainment centers. I personally have a 32" JVC and love it (got mine for only $365 at Circuit City since it was a floor sample model.) It has good picture quality, but I LOVE having the larger picture. We used to have my 27" JVC TV from college, which was also very nice. It was fine for a small room, but our den is elongated and the screen size of a 32" TV is SO much nicer, especially with widescreen DVDs.
