I have driven 3 of them and they are all the same, so this is not based on just ONE S2000
My wife sells Honda's. When she first saw the S2000 she loved it. She wanted one till she drove it. She said it was uncomfortable and slow as hell. She said her 2001 Olds Intrigue was faster and rode better. She just got a new Honda but she got an Accord EX.

lol
she wasn't revving high enough..
stock S2000's are pretty fast.

Nope. I think I'd rather buy a top-of-the-line Miata and mod it with a turbocharger. The S2000 has a cramped interior and I've read that getting power out of its 9000rpm redline is sometimes a pain.

as much as I like the miata I prefer the S2000 styling.
It's a small car and you gotta expect the space issue. But I don't think it would be too bad as long as you're under 6 ft and not a fat ass

If you are a guy don't get the S2000. It's a chick car. For that matter, don't get a Miata, Eclipse, or Mustang, either.

Not only is it a chick car, but it's also a Honda. Honda's don't normally make their maximum torque until 4/5 of their tachometer is used up.

If you want a roadster, go with the new BMW Z4 or the Nissan 350Z Roadster.

If a hardtop is cool look at the Nissan 350Z, Infiniti G35 Coupe, and BMW 330Ci.

If I had my pick I would take a 2004 BMW 330Ci w/ the 6-Speed SMG.

WTF kinda idiotic post is this

the s2k is a roadster, good for daily driving, but really shtty for daily driving (no torque). 350z would make a better daily driver (as would the a4/3series), but for a weekend car, the s2k is bomb diggity :bigthumb:

^^^^---Closet homosexual :)

For everyday I just wouldn't want to use a tiny roadster, so I'd opt for the A4.
Practicality aside I'd take the S2000 in a heartbeat.

You HAVE to be joking... I have never seen a woman driving an S2000. You can't get them with an auto tranny ;)

s2k isn't all that....in stock form its too driver dependent and needs to be revved alot. An auto camaro v8 will perform more consistently. SC s2ks are nice though.

Personally saving for a z06 or viper, depending on my various business ventures. Because when properly modded, larger displacement engines are just so much more exciting. Twin-turbo vipers give me an erection.

Umm, girls can drive stick, too.

The only person I know with an S2000 is a friend of mine's mother. So...

And for that matter, the only people I know in real life that like the car other than Honda fanboys, are chicks.

You read wrong. The climb to redline is so fast and smooth that it can be unnerving to those new to the experience. The car is definitely not a commuter car, especially in LA's traffic.

To answer the original question. Already bought and sold. Will never again buy a Honda that cost more than $20K.

Well you know one person with an S2000 and it's a woman. Right. Chick car.
The homosexual comment comes from the fact that those of us who know which way we swing don't give a sh!t about if someone thinks something is "girlie."
Well, we draw the line at cabrios and beetles. But generally....a good car is a good car.

You sir, are a madman.

Twin-Turbo Viper? Jeeze, I already pay $3000 a year for my 240SX, I wonder what insurance on that would run?

Does the viper have Launch/Traction Control? I have a feeling you would waste all that power without it.

If you are considering used... if you look hard enough you can get a nice Porsche Boxster for just a thousand or two more than a newer S2000. My friend just picked up one for around $20k. I like torque nearly as much as I hate having too much of it without an LSD, heh.

whoa they will add a new engine to the s2000??

when???

My God, I wouldn't want to drive an S2000 then. I drove my aunt's Miata. My knees were around the steering wheel.

You guys are funny. Maybe a V8 Camaro is faster on the dragstrip but hey, roads have turns and I belive a S2000 will smoke a stock Camaro. And I am talking handling here, not 1/4 mile racing.
