Engineering samples are supposedly really, really, really good OCers.
Still though..eh.
I know. Ive had several.
The best one I ever had was back in 2004 when I bought the mother of all engineering samples right here at Anandtech! I paid about $120 for it and sold it on ebay for $325!!!
What made this chip so valuable? Most Intel ES chips have multiplier range of 3 or 4 numbers to play with. This had the full range of 8x-20x!!! Also most ES chips have markings stating their original value along with the words "ES". This chip was completely blank!!!
How did I get it so cheap? The guy sold it for a friend who strickly liked AMD and got this chip interning at Intel. He just threw it in his backpack and the pins were all bent. I straigtened them all out and viola - 3.4 standard boot!!
