In the gun thread, a bunch of North Carolinans were pissed that a sword collector attacked a burglar with a sword instead of a gun. I don't think it should matter, you should by law be giving up your rights when you break into my home and attempt to hurt me or steal my things, therefore I should be able to do whatever I want to you in return.

Death by sword or death by gun, what does ATOT think?
 
The gun would outrage me more.

Swords were made to protect someone.
Guns were made to kill as many innocent babies and pregnant women as possible..
 
Depends on what kind of sword. If it was a properly used katana, I would probably hunt the killer down and steal the katana.

Gun. Simply because the burgler might experience less pain and suffering with a gun, versus a few good swipes with the sword and letting him bleed out for a while.

Doesn't matter - but a gun is more outrageous to me, imo. You can't very well go on a killing spree with a sword (unless you're Sir Lancelot 😛)
 
I'd rather someone use a gun. I mean think of all the blood you'd have to get out of your carpet from using a katana!

Heh...kind of reminds me of the story the other day where some store employees stop a shoplifter and the shoplifter pulls a knife. They end up fighting and the shoplifter has one of the employees on the ground and is getting ready to stab him. A lady customer pulls a gun out of her purse (permit to carry) and tells the shoplifter to stop or she'll blow his head off.

A TV news crew later talked with some old woman that was a customer too and the old woman couldn't believe that they let people carry guns around like that. 😕

I wish I could find the story again but I heard it on the radio this morning.

Haha, well yeah it's possible. However I don't think it's the irony coil but rather it has been contaminated with serious amounts of Moron Dust here on ATOT. Therefore every so often - and especially with threads that involves guns - it gives me false positives. I think I need to replace the Dipweed Filter.
