Don't know what you mean by deals, if that's something ridiculously below market value then sure it's probably cheap for a reason. But I've bought my fair share of stuff from ebay and haven't had any problem.
Well I bought a new HDD from one guy, sent the money, and he didn't send the HDD. Just ignored me. Contacted ebay, and they basically told me to contact the better business bureau and to sue him. Which basically means you got screwed, and we aren't going to do anything about it.
I bought a new Video Card, and I was sent a different product that was used. Again, ignored, and ebay didn't do anything.
That was many years ago, and I believe some policies have changed since then, but I haven't bothered since. It is, or at least was, a haven of scammers. I would rather use real retailers selling new products that I don't have to worry if some dumb kid turned the OC up to 11, and get a warranty to boot.
