Would U update bios if your current version is fine?

I can't recall of the top of my head what version bios I have on my IC7 mobo... maybe 13-15. But now there are revisions up to 20+.

Should I flash the latest bios if my current one seems to working fine?

Well, the general rule of thumb when it comes to the BIOS is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." However, that's not why you're in this hobby, right?

Are you overclocking/using higher voltages? If so, you MAY benefit from a bios update. BIOS updates can add new functionality to a board, fix voltage probs, enable higher voltages, etc.

If you're not overclocking and not experiencing any probs, just leave it alone.

If you do decide to flash it, make sure you use a proven flashing utility that backs up your current bios to the floppy. This way if somethign goes wrong, you can flash back.

Is it possible that even though the bios is the latest available, reflashing it may yield some positive results? What say?

Im overclocking my P4C 2.4 to 3.0 with no problems what so ever. Dont remember off the top of my head what the vcore is.

I may just leave it alone for now... Thanks!

I always update my BIOS and other firmware about a month or so after new versions become available (to allow others to catch arrows and report injuries) unless I have a problem the new ver is know to fix. Then I will update immed.
. As MikeD said, we're not in this to be "nervous Nellies"! We have to be willing to take our share of the arrows too. At least with the BIOS you should be able to flash back to the prev ver if the update is too nasty...
