Would two ATI 4850 X2's allow the use of 8 monitors

I have enough trouble putting mine to use-- 1920x1200 and 1600x1200. Not sure what I'd use 8 of them for. Maybe some hardcore CAD.

i thought i remember seeing flight sim or something hooked up to 8 displays using ati cards, can't remember exactly
 
I've presently got 2x 1600x1200 displays, a 1024x768 and a 1280x1024 hooked up to my rig ATM. It is just about perfect for me. Great for having two main apps open on the big monitors, and all my little IM/music/widget apps open on the smaller panels. But I think there is a point where you would just have too many friggin monitors 🙂 I think 4 is about my personal limit
 
Stockbrokers. Daytraders. Need as many screens as possible so they can confuse themselves as much as possible. 😉

!!! That thing was a beast except it couldn't do hardware T&L, otherwise it had enough performance to bury Geforce.

Hey I resemble that remark! Truth is we like one screen showing the markets and all the others are dedicated to pr0n :laugh:

thanks guys, I love that friggin card. It was the first time I ponied up 300+ bucks to buy a graphics card. Now that actually seems like a good deal. 😀
