Would this work?

I want to do screen/movie capture off TV/VCR/DVD.

I have a home theatre system with a Receiver that has multiple Video/Audio Out connections.

If I were to get a Video/Audio Capture card for my computer (any suggestions welcome), would I be able to connect from the receiver? Since the picture is already decoded from the receiver I should be able to get a clear picture to the PC right?

Any help/ideas are welcome.

thanks.

I think what you want is a single screen capture not capture the entire movie right.
capturing quality depends on how much $ you want to spend. I have a quickclip that somewhat did captures, and then I got the V3800 that did above par captures but if you want a professional capture you'll pay for it. Like I said it all depends in the quality you want.

Hmmmm, seems like an interesting idea.

I'd like to do basically the same thing. I don't need broadcast quality, but I don't want a shotty piece of crud either.
