It says you require a windows system, but i was thinking it would be possible to make it work with OSX without a problem.

But i thought i would ask on here to see what people say!

Officially no. It hasn't been hacked yet to work on systems other than windows. Unlike the Linksys NSLU2 and other network storage devices, the SC101 requires that you install proprietary software into order to access the network shares. Ie, it doesn't use Samba/SMB.
