Would this work for a HT room

The unlabled boxes on the far right are the windows. I have been, sanding, spackling, washing, and removing old border (you don't know how hard it is to remove wallpaper until you actually do it). I have ordered new carpet, new light blocking shades, and a new smaller bed (full instead of queen, the old queen bed was creaking and making all sorts of sounds and it was time for a new one anyway). I have bought all new electrical outlets, cable management things that go on the baseboards, and GE Reveal lightbulbs (too tired of yellow light). I have bought black paint for the baseboards and trim, grey paint for the walls, and white paint for the celing. I haven't painted yet, but I will probably get to that either tommorow or the day after. Do you think this would work for a home theater?

EDIT: computer will be dvd player, and will be connected to TV via DVI.

ideally the center channel should be behind the front speakers or at least equal.

Nice diagram... but where is the door? on the left side I guess? You gotta have a way to get INTO the room :)

yeah sorry the door is on the left side of the room, in the bottom left corner. On the left wall, not the back wall.

Sides go directly beside the listener.

You can find more on www.dolbydigital.com. Pretty straight forward recommendations.

Sorry my diagram sucks the TV is on the short wall. My diagram just makes it look like the tv is on the long wall. Sorry about that.

I'll post pics of the room to give you a better idea as soon as I'm done painting the celing.

Do you know what speakers you're getting?

If they're rear ported you're not going to want them right up against walls.

Speakers in the corner is bad generally....unless its a sub(even that can be bad). I would place them farther into the side walls

i remember you said you were going off to college in less than a year. why are you putting that much effort into redoing the room?
