Would this beast cover my needs?

AMD cards are excellent, last NVIDIA card I tried was an 8800gt and had driver problems with it and have not looked back, I have experienced very few driver problems with my AMD cards, have my new 7970 which is the one Linked here coming to me next week, got it for $40 less then the egg though.

Yeah, im getting the amd card, guess thats my locked in decision. Again, everyones experience is different. I've have more problems with AMD drivers and never had problems with nvidia ones. The gigabyte card though looks real promising.

After you get your AMD card, let us know how you make out. If you are good to go out of the box or if you have to spend most of your time finding the right driver for a given game. I've been seeing this said quite often, but do not know if it's true as I haven't owned AMD since 5870. Good Luck.

I guess when your employer is losing on price/performance, triple-monitor performance, game bundles and overclocking, the viral campaign gets this blatant, huh? You know your post would have been a lot more reasonable if you had actually covered both the positives and the negatives of going with either vendor. I am sure the OP would have been been a lot more appreciative. While HD7970's drivers are far from perfect, going the single GTX670/680 route would have entailed its own share of compromises on 3 monitors:

If you have issues with any GPU (driver errors/crashes/BSOD/overheating/graphical glitches, etc.), you have 30 days to return it to Newegg without a restocking fee. If you RMA over the phone, they'll even cover your shipping costs back. I am sure the same would apply to an Amazon GPU purchase. If you have real problems with the graphics card, you always have the return option regardless what vendor you end up choosing. :thumbsup:

lol, I have never gone looking for drivers that work for certain games, I almost always use whatever is the latest which right now is 13.2 beta 5.

Yeah when I had my 4870 I had to change driver each time I wanted to play a different game.

You used to seem pretty impartial but seriously, your NV damage control is tedious and bordering on Rollo obnoxiousness. Tone it down eh?

You act as if this info originated from me. It didn't. Look at previous post and address THAT accordingly IF YOU CAN. I even said I didn't know if it was true or not and you STILL came after me. Coming straight after my posts and only my posts in itself shows you aren't exactly impartial either. I actually don't think anyone on these boards are for the most part. There are surely some, but they are the very small minority.
I can keep it real. I'm honest about my preferences and my bias. I am not hiding anything which is much more than I can say for some others. Can you appreciate that or would you like me to lie straight to your face like others do? Just lemme know.

I have had a 7870 for several months, not a single problem until now.. :whiste:
