I was wondering if this would be a botleneck..and if so how much? Also what does bottleneck do to your performance and on-screen performance?

Asus A7N8X-X
Sapphire Radeon x800 Pro 256mb 256bit GDDR3

You did? Maybe in your mind it sounds right...

yes your sempron will bottleneck you by ~50% to a A64 3200+
Click!

Uhm, at a closer look I think you might have inversed 3 and 2 in 3200+, and in that case...... well click the link

My processor isn't even on that list...and I've heard something a lot different at other forums. I was just wondering what the people in AT had to say about my PC.

Just choose the Athlon XP 3200+ it's roughly the same.

It's too expensive.

Here is the reason why I went with the Sempron

http://flipkcpcsetup.blogspot.com/

That's my setup. If you look at the immediate upgrades...you'll see why I went with a weaker CPU.

semprons and x800 video cards don't make much sense to me, personally

I'd say semprons would be a bottle neck

just stick with an amd 64 cpu

oh yeah, about the CRT, go for an LCD, you won't regret it...

lol I wish I could go LCD, but I'll just wait till prices go down a little bit more. I don't want to miss out on cheap 21" LCD's.

lol, don't worry I'll only be living on that for about half a year then I'll be switching over to the dark side with my raptors of death and a fat 250gb SATA. just you all wait. my computer will rock with all the immediate upgrades I'll be picking up in 6-8 months.

That is the worst setup with mixmatched parts i could find. You do not put a 300 dollar video card into a 200 dollar machine

Okay...well then I'll just keep shopping around then...*cough* You obviously did not go to my PC setup website.

What exactly is your question? In your first post you post a current(?) configuration? The new pc you have laid out on that site is nice, though I'd go with the DFI nf4 board instead. Seems to be very popular on this forum.
