Would the world be a better place if women ruled?

Just curious. Would women make better rulers? If women ruled the world, would there be any Taliban-like regimes?

If a man doesn't like you he'll tell you about it and probably kick you a few times for it.
If a woman doesn't like you, she wont' tell you, she'll scheme and manipulate and make your life as miserable as possible.

Women would probably start less outright wars but there would be tons of scheming and backstabbing like stuff. In the long run I think it would probably make little difference.

Moot point. You made a generalization which can NEVER be true. Personalities aren't determined by gender, by partly by genetics and the rest is upbringing. Being male or female does have nothing to do with it.

While I'm sure that there would be some minor differences, I don't think that it would be any better or worse. I'm sure that if women ruled that somewhere there would be a group of women in control who would dehumanise men in the way that the Taliban dehumanises women. The problem isn't that one sex or the other is in control, the problem is that in some places idiots (regardless of sex) are in control.

I would say no. You typically need to have a masculine personality to be a leader. So if women ruled the world, they'd be men, er well minus the physical differences.

I am with Baffled2 all the way. Like Hilary Clinton said to her hubby, when he decided to tease her about an old boyfriend, and told her just think, you could have ended up married to a gas station attendant instead of the President of the United States. And she turned around and answered "Well no, if I had married him, he would be president now, not you." It's not an exact quote, but you get the picture.

And the only difference I think, is there would be more compassion shown to other countries and people in need. Women wouldn't have waited for this to step up and help the Afghanistans as much as we are now, we would have done that long before. But compassion isn't what gets you into politics anyway, so thats a moot point.

No, that would make me want to kill more people (makes it sound like I've killed people already doesn't it....?), we'd be living in a world of fluffy white clouds and talking trees, where in never rains but the grass is always green, the birds chirp and there is a surplus of chipmunks because "aren't they the cutest thing?". That's all assuming that the woman ruling the world wasn't Hillary Clinton, but otherwise wouldn't that scenario make you want to hurt someone?
