Would someone with a Geforce3 card try this for me please.

When doing benches with my Asus V8200 Deluxe card I noticed something strange. If I boot up and do a Quake3 timedemo at 10x7x32 all other settings wide open I get 78 fps. If I exit the game then reenter the game and do another timedemo I get the normal 138 fps. From there on out I will get 138fps. It's only the first timedemo after I boot up this occurs. I have tried 12.10, 12.60, and 12.90 drivers. All do the same thing. I'm going to download the latest patch for Quake3 tonight and see if this helps. Can anyone try this and see if theirs does the same.

I tried it with both the latest patch and v1.17. And neither time did I experience what you describe.

Where can I download the 1.17 point release from. I tried the ID software site and it keeps saying page can not be displayed crap.
