I know this may be a dumb question, but im curious. I really wanna get the Coolermaster HHC-001 but im worried it might not make any difference in my temps... Money is sorta tight so i cant throw around $30 here and there trying different solutions, anyone know if they would?

Yes, but I'd just sell it else where. You'd lose money big time. You get 75% the purchase price back. You lose the shipping you paid them and the shipping you pay to ship it back.

Lets say i did loose the 15% and shipping... Lets see...

34.95 (Price w/shipping)
-4.20 (15% restocking fee)
-3.25 (Priority Mail)
------------
27.50

EDIT: WOW IM A FREAKIN IDIOT!!! See why i never did good in calc I? :)

Im leaving that crap of a math problem up so all the kiddies can see what a GREAT math background can do to you....

EDIT#2: Lets try this again...

34.95 (Price w/shipping)
-23.80 (Refunded price minus 15% restocking fee)
+3.25 (Proority Mail)
_________
Total Cost of my Trying it: $14.40

Errrrrr... I hope they wouldnt charge me restocking

Actually its MUCH worse:

"NewEgg.com will not refund to Customer the original shipping charges. In addition, NewEgg.com will assess a 15% restocking fee against the Customer's account on all returns for refund. " , so

28.00(product)
6.95(shipping)
-------------------
$34.95

-6.95(the original shipping you paid them)
-4.20(15% of $28.00 restocking fee)
-3.95 (I bet that thing weigh more than 1lb packed)
------------
19.85

You absorb $15.10 in loss and time involved in RMAing.

better solution: sell it for $25.00 to a friend or post it on "for sale" local newsgroup. You lose $9.95 rather than $15.10

Jerboy: That math dosent make sence... Look at it...

Your subtracting 6.95, that shouldnt be subtracted because i wont get it back... The subtractions should only be the full price i initially paid - the 15% restocking fee

I think my edit #2 above has it correct...

I think it make sense. I subtracted the shipping you paid them, the restocking fee and the return shipping from your total cost to calculate how much money you'd be left with.

You paid $34.95 including shipping and of that shipping represent 6.95, therefore even though you paid 34.95, you only get 28.

From 28, you'd be assesed a 15% return fee so you'd get $23.80 back from Newegg, but $3.95 to send 2lb package by priority, you can only put back $19.85 in your pocket.

<< Yeah, that restocking fee is a killer >>

Actually the shipping was more of a killer.

$6.95
+$3.95
-----------
$10.90 in just shipping charges
