For one, DFI almost exclusively caters only to AMD chips with their top of the line boards. They do offer Intel based boards, but they are typically not up to par with their AMD ones. I would suggest getting the ASUS N-Force 590-SLI board as an alternative to the DFI.
Btw u mention that dfi intel motherboard r not up 2 par with their amd ones. is it the overclocking that is not up to par or is the quality that is not up 2 par? n i dun see any asus nforce 590 sli motherboard that support conroe on asus webstie

The thing with DFI, is that their Lanparty line is the top op the line, but it is only availbile for AMD systems. To quote this this review from anandtech
"One of the more anticipated boards we looked forward to after our Computex 2006 visit was the DFI Infinity 975X/G motherboard. Of course, we understood this would be an Infinity series and as such would be lacking the normal bells and whistles along with the almost legendary overclocking ability of the LanParty series."
DFI only sells Inifinity series Intel boards, and their top of the line stuff is all AMD. Asus on the other hand has their top of the line for both AMD and Intel. Also, If I remember correctly, DFI's ratio for AMD/Intel sales is something like 82%/18%, showing they focus on AMD. I am not saying they are bad, but considering your budget, I would go asus, who are more 50/50 with intel/amd focus.

wth you need help for. you obviously don't know much about computers... all you know is "OMG get the very best, the BEST.. etc". thats not how you get computer parts. and you're not getting scsi or raptor? are you crazy? you entire computer will feel much slower running on 7200 drives. the xfi cards all use the same sound processing techniques, at least i think so so the music will all sound the same. it the extra's that come with it that jack up the price and i DOUBT you will use anything on the remote or front 5.25bay more than headphone and mic control. quad sli? do u have a 30" display? or 2x 30" display? then no you don't need it. with the knowledge you show to us about buying comp parts i bet you'll get crazy problems when installing drivers, beta quad sli drivers and even after installation. and BTW TT case's suck. you're in china, get Lian Li. GL from a fellow asian =]

Exactly, it doesnt matter if something is the best. The x-fi elite pro is the biggest waste of money. The only reason you would need that card is if you run a recording studio on your computer. otherwise I DOUBT you will hear the difference between 109 and 116 dB signal to noise ratio. if you listen to music at that level you should be saving up for hearing aid.
Plus what does being from singapore have to do with getting asus. I dont understand. Asus is known to make the most expensive (for no reason) video cards ever. I am sure both BFG and EVGA have a market in asia. I mean they make their stuff there and then bring it here, why not keep part of it there and sell it there. But I could be wrong. If you cant find both of these, then I guess asus would be my next choice.
No raptors and no SCSI. Im sorry but your just blowing your money away. you have pretty hardware that was to wait before it can process data, because your harddrive is too slow. just SAD.
And you can do RAID with your motherboard. when you get the mobo, read the manual. there is a whole section dedicated to setting up a RAID array. trust me thats how it is on the M2N32-SLI, thats how its gonna be on the P5N32-SLI SE XT GTX SUPERCLOCKED nForce 590 Intel Edition (or whatever they call it).

X-Fi elite pro is prolly the best - BUT DONT GET IT PLEASE I BEG YOU(as said b4). Are you running a recording studio in your room of some sort or doing something even remotely close to that? if not, get the X-Fi XtremeMusic which IM SURE they have in Singapore if they have the top-of-the-line card. Just because it's more expensive, doesn't mean it's better.

1. i would read anand's review for core 2 duo to get ram.
yep hv chosen crosair as i can find this brand in singapore
2. you don't need that many watts.. the 800 something watt'll be just fine
will a powersupply that is 750w be able to support the above rig with 7 hdd watercooling etc etc etc?
3. get a single 7950GX2. a 7900GTX would be fine to power that so a single 7950GX2 will be more than enough
He wants the best
4. if you're getting this in september, wait under september for recommendations. your prices might be a little different then and more motherboards will be available to you.
Yep will decide ard august.. is tentative
5. why do you want the X6800? go with a 6600 and overclock it. the 6600-6800 all overclock around the same
He wants the leave the processor virgin n dun overclock it n he dun realyl like overclocking

Do NOT get that screen if you intend to play games with your system. The ms is high on it and you will see ghosting.

Why not just get a 6600 and a good hsf and overclock that to 3.4ghz - 4.0ghz.
Many here could get a better performing computer with 1/3 of the dollar amount you are putting into yours.

AM2 sucks. And nothing officially supports quad-SLI, the Intel platform has SLi because it has the nVidia nForce 590. Oh, and dual 7900GTX > dual 7950GX2, plus you don't have all the crap with driver support and other such things.
