Would like some motherboard ideas

I'm going to build a new system in the next 4 months. I want it to run Adobe Premiere Elements, Photoshop Elements, and Microsoft Office (I know if it can handle Premiere and Photoshop, it can handle MS Office), and still be a little bit of a gamer. Which mobo do you think will handle the job for about $120-$175. What would you do? Both AMD and Intel? Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks

Intel or Amd will both work fine for your needs. I would go for the best value in your area. I get the Fry's electronics combo specials. No Fry's near you, then I would get the chaintech vnf4 nforce4 board (about $55) with the athlon 64 3200 or 3500 retail boxed from Newegg. For video, the 6600 nvidia card will work fine in whatever brand you can find in pci-e. Be sure it's a pci-e card; I believe this chipset is also available in agp. The card will run you about $100-120 depending on the brand and refurb versus new.

We'll have AMD's new platform by then. Come back with your question in three and a half months 🙂
