Thinking of upgrading. Would like to keep the 6800GT and get another to SLI, or can get a "ONE" 7800GTX. Want to go to a dell 24" widescreen (not sure if gaming is ok for widescreen). Any thoughts?
 
I would say get 7800GTX alone it performs better than SLI 6800 or wait for the 512MB 7800GTX which will perfom even better than that. I have never played games on wide screen but my friend swears by it so its definiatly possible now its just a matter of preference.
 
all sites have reported the 7800 GTX alone as better...significantly more FPS per game than even an SLI'ed 6800 GT...
 
And somehow i feel it's a shame because i'm trying to put 2 video cards in there
just to do it.....silly isn't it. just wanna hit that "sli" checkmark"....lol...and i allready have a 6800 gt

Mostly likely its cheaper to sell your 6800GT and buy a GTX if you find the right deals
