Would it kill a motherboard to attempt to boot without ram?

I realize that the computer probably won't post but I would like to test power supply and fans.
Memory won't be here until Tuesday:(

It will be fine. The board should give you an error code of some sort telling you that you have no memory installed.

you won't get nothing on the screen, if that's what you're asking? not even the BIOS will boot up.

Some mobos have a set of LEDs on them that will display the BIOS post codes in some fashion and most will do the POST failure beep codes as well.

The BIOS will funtion, but it will stop the Power On Self Test (P.O.S.T.) process once it finds there is no Random Access Memory (R.A.M.) in the computer
