Would it hurt if a 500w psu had a few nic's on the wires?

Ah.....yes, i got a 500w psu for 50 shipped on here, and well i might have thought something might be wrong, i had to open it up to remove the back fan, and well i found that a few of the wires that go from the inside to the out, the main ones, have a few nic's in them, i dunno how bad but they don't look deep, would it hurt if i used it still?
 
nicK, not nic. Nic is -Network Interface Card

Throw a bit of black electrical tape on the wires, and you should be ok. As long as the nick does not penetrate the conductor in a significant amount, you are ok.
