Talk with your mom, then with the aunt.

No matter what, you should also do thoughtful things for her, like minor repairs, improving the landscaping, etc.

If she reconsiders, issue resolved. If she insists, be grateful for the discount and go out of your way to do thoughtful things for her, like minor repairs, improving the landscaping, etc.
