Would I be an ass to ask for a return?

I bought a monitor from someone here. It takes an hour drive each way for me to pick up the goods, so it took me two weeks to find the time to get it.
When I got there, the monitor was a bit blurry and had burn in. I was not told about such issues before I went to check out the screen. But he was selling his 21" Sony G520 for only $85, so I wasn't expecting a perfect screen.
But I asked him for a price reduction, and he threw in a 17" sony, and took off $5.
I've used a few of these screens, new ones and refurbished, so I know how they're supposed to look like.
But when I took it home and put it next to my LCD, it looked A LOT worse than I expected.
The colors are really off. It looks ok when you just look at it, but if you put it next to another screen for a reference point, it's just obviously off. There's a slight magenta tinge to everything. When you do image restoration, you'll see it immediately when it shows a gray, there's an obvious magenta hue to it.
I tried using the expert color adjustments, but it's not even the settings that's off, the monitor is incapable of displaying proper colors.

Would it be wrong for me to return it considering he didn't tell me about the issues before selling it to me or would I be an ass to return it since we had a deal and he slashed the prices?

You looked at it, you accepted it, it's your's.

So you got a 21" Monitor and a 17" monitor, for $80? For that money you're lucky they turn on at all.

Just sell them on again.

Yeah I'm willing to admit that since he let me take a good look at it while I was at his house, which is why I don't feel confident about asking for a return.
I guess I should just try to sell it to someone else who doesn't care about the problems.

you accepted the goods and the deal was sealed then. they didnt die or do anything that wasnt expected by both parties, so the deal is done with. no returns are accpeteable in this situation.
