Would I be able to keep eggs past expiration date...

Do you know you could save a fair amount of money if you just lowered your fridge's temperature by a degree? Unless you like milk with ice chunks... something about that just grosses me out :p

like sao, i've had eggs that were 6 months past expiration. One morning I was so damn hungry I ended up cooking them up, then... gingerly tasting them - they tasted fine, so I ate the rest and hoped for the best. Ah, the life of a grad student... :)

I remember seeing a story on I believe Dateline, or maybe 20/20 about Eggs. It exposed how a lot of places re-stamp old eggs with new "best by" dates so they can sell them after they technically should pull them off the shelves. Some cartons were getting re-stamped 2 and 3 times. So those eggs you have that just expired might be a few months old :D
