me and my gf are thinking about going, but i'm only 20, but she's 21.

anyhow, my dilemma is that my birthday is in late sept. and hotel room prices are doubled or over compared to rates in early september (i am a broke college student who has been saving for a little summer trip :()

i haven't been to vegas since i was 16 and we pretty much have a tourist mentality going there (minus the gambling). look forward to the bellagio buffet :).

so is there a major difference going to vegas under 21 or not?

and a poll for if going under 21 would suck in general :sun:

Yeah it'd suck. Obviously you can't gamble and most of the clubs are 21+. It might suck more for her because she'd be babysitting you all night in the arcade. ;)
Of course if you think you look 21, you could take a chance and just go and have fun.

If you were going with someone else that was also underaged I could see it but neither of you will have a good time if your stuck hanging out in the MGM park while she's throwing dollars into a slot machine.

Yeah, it sucks. I went in March. It's cool for about 12 hours, then you run out of things that you can just look at.

Costs will be a lot lower if you do not stay at the big name casinos on the strip.

Check out Vegas.com for leads.

Depending on your life style, there is plenty of other entertainment besides gaming.

There is a lot there if you go looking for it. Much more than gambling and drinking. Ive been there several times and I have heard that this is true.

Haven't been there myself. Maybe next year.

im going in october with a group of people and some of them are under 21. i figured why even go, its a waste of their money. they are going to spend money on a plane ticket to sit in a hotel room or go shopping while everyone else will be gambling and drinking and clubbing. i myself never understood it, going right before a 21st or really soon seems like a waste of money to me. but im of age, so my opinion is a little slanted. :D

I don't think it would be that bad, unless your gf wanted to spend a lot of time gambling.... And, if she did..... then you don't want to marry her ;) Much to do besides gamble in LV

since i would never go to vegas to gamble (what a waste!), just to see the lights and shows and sit around the pool, age wouldn't matter to me. of course, i'm over 21 anyway.

I went under 21.......but I had a fake ID that worked everywhere I went so I had a blast. Otherwise you'll probably be able to find some stuff to do but I'd say wait until your birthday or get a fake id and go.

You won't be able to drink or go onto the casino floor, but there's plent of arcades and other things to do.
