Bruce's speed and agility was unmatched and if he were alive and in his prime today, would still be unmatched. That man was supernatural.

kareem would want a rematch from 'game of death' and give him a run for his money.

whew, made my obligatory kareem reference for the day. i think bruce would still be in top form, even to this very day.

it's kind of hard to imagine that since I've never seen many of his performances (except enter the dragon), and you know movies make the fighter look cool. look at van dam :D!

Bruce Lee was lethal, and his moves were meant to striaght up break people. UFC is more like submission fighting/grappling/ close quarter combat. so it really depends on how large the arena is, and what restrictions you're going to put on one another.

Are you serious? Silva would dismantle Bruce. Sakuraba, and there are probably a grip of other people that could.

But Wanderli Silva comes to mind first.

Don't get me wrong, Bruce is great. I have rare footage of... ugh I just check I lost it. Anyways, I had rare footage of him full contact sparring etc. And he fought then like he did in his movies. Quick in control aggressive on point and powerfull but c'mon, let's be realistic, he would not be able to hang with the best MMA fighters of today.

This is just crazy. Are we talking a prime Tyson? We can't be, we must be talking about Tyson when he was 11, you can't be talking about a prime Mike.

Bruce Lee would get dismantled by any UFC fighter or Pride fighter (except giant Silva).

the fightin style Bruce created was a mix of kung fu and street fight... so i think he could prolly hold his own vs UFC fighters... but i'm not sure if he could beat them...

Like the previous poster said they're more of a submission type fighters...

That being said, i bet you if you ask anyone of those martial artist today, they would all think highly of bruce lee, he is a legend

Bruce Lee definitely was great, but he's also the object of much hype. Most of what people know about him they saw in movies or documentaries. Also, when you die at your peak you reach a kind of "supernatural" status in the minds of people because you don't get to see them losing or declining. In your mind they might as well be invinsible and never lose.

But he was a strict martial artist (not a wrestler), and we've seen how well they match up against mixed wrestling/martial arts disciplines like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He would get humbled in the UFC. Maybe he could win the lightweight weight class, but he's not going to win the overall contest.

I'm not taking anything away from Mr. Lee. In fact the guy was my idle growing up. Every freeform essay I ever did in school up until college was on the guy.

Anyways, I'm just saying we need to be realistic.

It's really hard to say. With people like Mike Tyson in his prime, if he hits you, you're KO'd. But the same goes with Bruce Lee. If he hits you, you're dead.

Martial arts have evolved so much from when Bruce Lee was around. Unless he learned how to adjust to all the grappling techniques out there, I doubt he'd have a chance.

I agree. Bruce Lee might get 10 punches/kicks to Randy Couture's face before Couture even had a chance to blink, but what good would that do? His head is cement. He'd grab Mr. Lee and snap him in half imho. Granted, it would be interesting to see.

My respect for you has grown. I didn't think anyone else on these forums had seen game of death.

to me a man that can break a swinging one inch thick board packs a punch. IMO After being hit 10 times by a punch or kick like that would take anyone down, I don't care who they are. Lee>*

Bruce Lee's punches are not a normal fighter's punches.
Any blow he lands would disable his opponent.
