This thred was not supposed to be about the cost of Apple hardware.
Did you post that from Safari? ;)

Looks like a pretty cool option. I'm a decent speller, but there are times where I wonder about certain words. I'd really like a browser that reminds me when I should use effect, and when affect, though -- I know the difference, but it's a bitch to remember sometimes. :)

Yes, I did. A spell checker built in to a web browser doesn't justify spending over $1k for only an entry level MAC even though my spelling sucks.

My question was not "Should you be forced to pay for a mac so that you have spell checking built into your bowser".

Imagine that you're independently wealthy, or someone gave you a mac for your birthday, or Apple ported Safari to windows... This thred was not supposed to be about the cost of Apple hardware.

Just for you Tyler, sure. It would need to be ported to Windows too and Microsoft didn't mickey mouse it so it wouldn't be unstable.

No

Mostly because Macs are ghey...

btw: Builtin spell checking is cool, but you can get it free for PC IE. It's called IESpell.

I read "Safari".
Neural synapsis are triggered.
Word "notfred" comes up.
Eyes twitch to the right.
Visual confirmation.

Nothing for Firebird just yet, but my guess is that someone will eventually come up with it.

Only if you want people to become even MORE lazy and not bother learning how to spell.

lol, took me a minute to figure out what the big difference is. I doubt it'd help...those who don't care about their spelling would probably turn it off, and people like myself like to spell correctly in the first place.
